Voice, Voices and Voicing is a short, soundless animation piece inspired by selected quotes from Uninvited.

“(Every time they spoke, they would speak you into being.

(When they were silent, you would exist only as past and potential.)

(In their silence you would be only memory and desire.)”

Each speech is uttered silently through endless counting.

“Because knowledge is what happens when men agree. And this is how history is made.”

“(The world is like this rock. It’s perfect without us. Just by existing, we make it beautiful and disgusting.)”

“What happens when you put your crabby claw through norms nobody cares to see”

“We used to mistake letters for numbers”

“With all these voices, still you speak in lumps of sound.”

“and bloom fantastic gardens from my flesh”

“What is between girl and doe? Together they mark a beginning and an end, like quotation marks. What lies between…is space for the voice of another.”

“nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing”
